Spin! (250/110/50) is a site-specific light installation derived specifically in form and content for the Maker Maxity Complex, a former drive-in cinema. Like an oversized film roll, Spin! (250/110/50) – in contrast to its actual massive rigidity and fixation – seems to move, to speed over the Maker Maxity lawns like an unleashed film roll - a luminous form moving through space. Through the inclusion of the ever-changing light conditions of day and night, the installation integrates the element of time, as well as a factor of chance. The optical impression of the work changes depending upon the point of time and the angle from which the work is viewed. There is no SINGLE status quo. Change is the message.
